Perhaps you remember the song Caribbean Queen "No More Love On The Run"? If you did you probably remember Billy Ocean who got his start in the 70's but didn't take off until the 80's when the songs Loverboy Get Outta My Dreams Love Zone When The Going Gets Tough The Tough Get Going became hits. But Billy Ocean is probably best known for the ballad Suddenly which is one of Billy's most beautiful ballads. It's a shocking surprise that Billy Ocean faded in the 90's but he had talent as a superstar and he kind of sounds like Wayne Brady and sings really cool when I heard him

I was big fan of Billy Ocean, loved his voice. They played his music in the movies, Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile.

His first song to appear on the Billboard chart was Love Really Hurts Without You, a #22 hit in 1976. I have a mint condition copy of the 45 RPM record, it's a good song but Billy Ocean would have to wait until the 1980's to achieve real chart success.

That would be Billy's Suddenly album. I think Suddenly's a great ballad that showcases Billy Ocean's talent well. He was also the original singer of the song Colour Of Love before Boyz II Men covered it on one of their albums
