What is unusual about this episode? There is one thing that happens in this one that we never see again. It has to do with how it was edited or directed.

IIRC, the picture in question was of the Baby Beaver sitting in the altogether which the preteen one was so embarrassed by that he 'edited' the original pick by cutting out everything from the neck down and submitting that one (and, of course, June found out and was furious that he destroyed what had been picture she'd prized).

This appears to be the only time in LITB history when they legitimately cut a scene and then return to that scene. When you said Wally in the den I thought you had it.
Wally is looking at those pictures (piches) and saying boy oh boy and wow. Beaver is on his way upstairs and Wally calls him into the den. Shows him the naked picture and Beaver’s reaction is one of horror. CUT. Commercial. Then they return to Beaver’s face looking at the picture. Only time they do this. If I’m wrong maybe someone can find another time. |

I think you're right, they never do this. It's that middle break, and they never return to the same scene, to my knowledge. I'll be checking from now on, though. That look by Jerry said it all. I doubt older Jerry from S5 or S6 would have been able to manage that.
I should have known my stairs-sitting thing was wrong, since that isn't editing or directing. |

I think it is the only time Beaver and Ward sit on the stairs. Beaver sits on the stairs alone and starts crying over his kite. Larry and Beaver sit on the stairs in Beaver’s Library Book. Richard and Beaver sit on the stairs in Late Edition.

At the beginning of a later episode, the male members of the family can't find anything (tennis racket for Wally, etc.) and doesn't June (after telling them all where what they wanted was) sit down on the stairs, with the males wondering why? (Of course, the stairs are spotlessly clean, as June had just vacuumed them, pearls in place!)

Yup and says “I can’t find the kitchen.” Not very funny.
In Beaver’s Tree Ward sits on the stairs waiting for June to get her gloves. |

Yeah, really contrived. Reminds you you're watching a TV show.
