Default Judy Judy Judy....

In today's episode Judy humbles herself to Beaver, looking for guidance on how she might be reinstated to riding the school bus, after bad behavior. (since he had just successfully done similar). Normally such a nemesis, it was almost unsettling to see her with her claws retracted.

What are your thoughts as to what eventual outcome in life awaited Judy? My personal feelings are an illustrious career as a Roller Derby queen. In fact, back in the late 1960.s on the Bay Area Bombers there was a gal with the same black mop-top type hair, who bore a strong resemblance to our fair Ms Hensler

Just look at old #32 there. Is that Judy Hensler, or is that Sea Hag?

Judy would do well in the roller derby. I can see her elbowing her way past the other skaters.

When Judy comes to the Cleaver household, and June hollers upstairs to Beaver that Judy has come to see him, his reply of "tell her to beat it!" really shocked me. I don't believe that I as a child would have ever been so frank in front of a parent. Not about "anti-social" stuff like that, anyway.

It was always expected that you meet your tormentors face to face, and tell them lies about how happy you are to see them.

the Tell Her To Beat It line was certainly over the top for the general tone of the show +-

Beaver probably would never have said it if Ward had been home. June let him get away with it.

On the first day for Beaver's busing, Beaver is standing out at the curb early in anticipation. June preparing Beavers lunch tells Wally to go ask Beaver how he wants his sandwiches prepared.

Wally walks to the door and hollers out to Beaver, and June clearly looks miffed that Wally was taking the lazy-man's approach. Yet later in the same episode when Judy comes to visit, June has no qualms about hollering up the stairs to tell Beaver he has visitors.

What happened to that Bronson decorum?

Ward would have told him a politer way to tell her to “f” off. But he generally was in agreement with June.

I wish Judy had more air time. They could of made her a closer friend to Beaver. Every time she's on screen she steals the scene. She's sharp as a tack smart compared to the dopey guys. I especially like Beaver's school play. Judy brags about her ballet trainng. But awkward dancing Jeri Weil obviously never did.

Had Penny stayed, later on, I think there could have been a friendship there. She's also sharp and not quite as annoying as Judy.

They could have made a spin-off where Beaver marries Judy, and lives a life as a miserable hen-pecked shoe salesman.....WOMEN'S shoes!

Judy is the ultimate snitch. Some of the stuff she thinks of to turn the other kids in to the teachers is pretty hilarious.

My favorite is the one where the kids got presents for Beaver and found out he wasn't gonna move. So the class obviously plotted together to write on the board that Beaver is a crook. Miss Landers asked who did it and she immediately told on Charles Fredericks.

Of course Miss Landers correctly told Judy to erase it! Justice is served!

Mr Willet subbed for Miss Landers. End of the day Judy hands Willet a note with the names of students who talked when he had left the room previously. Judy's great!

Yep, and Willet tossed the note.

Judy (Jeri Weil) did show up in adult form on an episode of The New Leave It To Beaver.
