Default Does Jeff Goldblum perform jazz music too?

When I was listening to music I discovered that Jeff Goldblum has released an album of jazz tunes and plays the saxophone in his band. I didn't know Dr. Ian Malcolm played jazz and it seemed weird to me. Some of the songs he covers are US3's Cantaloop and My Baby Just Cares For Me with Haley Reinhart singing vocals. Is this a new side job Jeff Goldblum does when he is not filming movies?

Hi, Bestie! WOW! It seems Jeff Goldblum can do anything! I wonder if he sings too? What is your favorite movie of his? Mine is Independence Day.

I was surprised at Jeff Goldblum's jazz talents and even though I perfer easy listening jazz singers like Diana Krall Jeff can really play saxophone like a pro. I wonder what got him interested in jazz music? Because it seemed shocking that Jeff Goldblum would release a jazz album. I also like the cover of the album where Jeff is dressed in a suit looking very dapper and when I see him he could be Orville Redenbacher's twin and could even play him in commercials as well. But if Jeff Goldblum goes very far in his jazz career he should get airplay on jazz stations all over the world

Saxophone? He says he's a pianist and sits at a piano on his videos. It took me viewing a few clips to become convinced that he was actually playing the piano, so you can tell I wasn't very impressed.

Jeff's best work from his VEVO is probably on "It Never Entered My Mind", a classic Miles Davis feature from the 1950s. The camera work appears to be trying to conceal that he's really playing in a lot of the videos, though.

Oh well, I only took two years of piano lessons, and I guess he's still better than me. But I wouldn't bet on him taking many solos if you watch him play live.

Every morning Mom has to wake up to Jeff Goldblum's music every day and my favorite song by him is the duet with Haley Reinhart My Baby Just Cares For Me and it's so cool. He also sings Me And My Shadow with Sarah Silverman too and their duet is really funny. Did you also get Jeff's album too Sedge? Is it also great too and does the booklet have wonderful photos of Jeff Goldblum too as well?
Thank you very much for your reply and the videos Sedge I love them

No, the only reason I know anything about Jeff Goldblum's jazz career is because you mentioned it, and I started looking around.

Your mom sounds like she has taste and refinement. Although "My Baby Just Cares for Me" is not one of my favorite standards. I saw that Haley Reinhart finished 3rd on American Idol 10, but I watched parts of that season (a mini-comeback season for the show, with a revamped panel) and don't remember her at all. That song with Haley and Jeff was on VEVO, but I didn't really like it. Her singing was okay, but her sexy vamp act and interaction with Jeff felt contrived.

I haven't heard Jeff Goldblum singing yet, so maybe I'll search for that duet. I'm guessing that that part of his act works better than his piano work, as he seems to have a big personality but suspect instrumental chops. Actually I should stop dogging his piano ability. The Ruby Lewis video shows that he can play. I'd like to see if he can do solos, though. It's a little odd that he can get top billing on an album without performing a piano solo.

I just love waking up to Jeff Goldblum's jazz music in the mornings and when Jeff Goldblum's music is heard Mom knows i'm up because she always tells me to turn it down or off because she dislikes hearing it every day which is weird because my mom actually used to have a crush on Jeff Goldblum back in the day. But even though my mom has gotten used to it it's a fun album. I liked Jeff since I got his Ian Malcolm action figure from Jurassic World and he has been my crush ever since
Hope you can find his version of Me And My Shadow soon because when you listen to it you will be laughing a lot

I found that this jazz album that Jeff Goldblum has is actually his second album and that he released his debut album sometime ago and he actually sings on it and the song that he sings on his debut album is really cool. Jeff also has released a Christmas album too and plays a great version of Winter Wonderland on it too that is also great as well

If you want to hear a good song of Jeff Goldblum listen to the song Nostalgia In Times Square and it's such a fun song to play at a dinner party and Jeff's piano playing is really cool and it's my favorite song I play every morning

That's so cool that Jeff Goldblum's second album was number one in 2018. I did see the clip you had from The Late Late Show With James Corden and it was amazing. Thanks for the reply and the cool videos Sedge they are awesome

Today my mom surprised me with my own copy of Jeff Goldblum's Cantaloupe Island and I didn't even know it was a surprise for me until when I woke up from my rest and I heard it and I was shocked because that was my favorite song. I just need an MP3 player to put it on
