Well, Jack Webb was married to Julie London from 1947 to 1953. He became friends with Martin Milner during the filming of the 1950 movie, Halls of Montezuma. As you probably know, Jack Webb hired Julie London (and her second husband Bobby Troup) for Emergency! They were all friends and Jack was very loyal to his friends. A cute idea though...about Pete Malloy and Dixie McCall being a couple on Adam-12.
