I received an e-mail from Family Ties Forever! (Jenny) late last night. As some of you may have noticed, Janice hasn't been very active on the site in recent months. She hasn't posted in nearly two months. She hasn't logged in over five weeks.
I had acted like a complete jerk to her when I responded to one of the reported posts. I should have just handled it and kept my opinions to myself. I felt terrible about it and apologized to her. I hadn't received any communication from her. I was very concerned and worried about her because that was unlike her. I wouldn't have blamed her if she had decided to quietly walk away from it all. She's been a very good and loyal friend and a big part of our community for many years. I didn't want to lose that. Janice suffered a freak accident last month. She broke her right arm (she's right-handed). She had went out to check the mail for a package late at night and bent over and fell. There wasn't anything to grab to prevent the fall. She can't type at all. The pain she has is the worst pain she has ever had. She sent me some photos and the x-ray. It looked like a very bad injury. The x-ray shows the break and the shoulder out of the socket. The break is from her shoulder down her elbow. Her arm looked black and blue. It was swollen to twice the normal size. The swelling has gone down since. She already suffers from fibromyalgia and has daily chronic pain. This injury has only made her feel worse. Her beloved husband Lou has also had his share of health struggles in recent months. He had battled COVID-19. Thankfully he had only mild symptoms and recovered. He later suffered a fall and broke two ribs. He also had to deal with a bout of pneumonia. He had two hospital stays in under a month. Please keep Janice in your thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. She's had to deal with a lot of stress recently and is understandably feeling depressed. Let's send her some positive wishes and vibes to help raise her spirits.

Sure hope you feel better soon, Janice!
Five years ago, my mother went through a similar thing, falling down the stairs and both breaking and dislocating her shoulder. It was a long, painful recovery, and we wondered if she would ever play the piano again, but she can still play. Hang in there! |

Get well very soon, Janice!
I know how you feel. Last month I started a new job. On week two, I slipped on ice outside work and fractured my arm. I feel a lot better now and I hope you are on the mend as well! Sending lots of positive thoughts for a quick and complete recovery. |

Oh wow!! So sorry to hear this !
I broke my wrist many years ago back in the mid 80's , thank God it was my left , I'm right handed but to this day I sometimes have twinges of pain in the wrist ! And I sprained my ankle not that long ago, it was a really bad sprain , but that healed OK , more recent than the wrist but I rarely have any pain from it anymore ! Hoping Janice's injury is more similar to that than my wrist injury ! ![]() Prayers for Janice and so glad her Husband didn't have the covid really bad ! Hoping both of them recover quickly! Prayers for both of them ! ![]()

Janice is a wonderful friend to me and has been a great friend to me when I first joined Sitcoms Online and she has always been there for me when I needed one and since she posts sometimes on the Commercials board she always has some wonderful input in the commercial threads I write. I can't imagine this wonderful place without her because she is not just a great help to Sitcoms Online she makes us feel wonderful. I wish Janice good luck and hope she comes back soon to us
