If you are a fan of rap artist Dr. Dre one thing you may not know about him is that is he discovered and signed a singer named Michel'le "Pronounced Mee-shell-eh" who made her debut with her self titled album in 1989. If you like singer Fantasia Michel'le sounds almost like her and she first caught attention when the ballad Something In My Heart became a hit on the pop stations but Michel'le was best known for the song No More Lies that later became a hit in 1990. With her sassy attitude and funny lyrics Michel'le proved that she was different from any other pop singer of the 80's and is known for her slogan "I may not be a lady but 100% woman" which was taken from one of her songs. Michel'le released a second album but shortly disappeared due to low promotion of her last album. It's surprising that beyond the other pop singers of the 80's it was rare to find singers like Michel'le making their marks in the music scene and you don't see that today

I found my Michel'le album in my box of music and I listened to it and it was really cool and you can hear her Fantasia-like voice and for 80's music this album was not bad. Michel'le really shines on the song If? which is not a cover of the Bread song but a fun ballad that's 70's like. I found out also that Michel'le is still singing but hasn't released any new songs and she should make a comeback

I remember Michel'le's song No More Lies, but I'm sorry I never liked her singing voice.
