Are we to assume that Alice showed up after Mrs. Brady died or before? Was Alice hired as a housekeeper and a nanny?
Would you call Alice a nanny?

What would you put in the job description if you were going to place an ad to hire Alice?

I think when Bobby was a baby. Alice was supposed to housekeeper then a nanny.

you got me thinking ...

a tv movie of the 2 families prior to the spouses deaths then leading up to the current show ... we've seen enough re-makes of After the Brady's ...

like the Star Trek movie with the young Kirk (2009)

Alice was one of a kind in the show , never marring, dealing with 6 kids, & a fun actress to watch (never a mean word) !

How and when did Carol & Mike meet? What happened in Carol 1st marriage and what did the boy mom die of? Greg was about 14 so he would have born in about 1955 when show starts and Bobby about 6 and at pretty remembers mom. Marcia was 12 or 13 and Cindy was 5.

In my mind Carol is a divorcee. That was the original concept but they decided to leave it unsaid because it was too controversial for such a tame show, so that's what I think of her as.
