Hi, I wanted to share this with fellow TV lovers. Taking inspiration from a number of sources, including this very forum, I decided to create a fantasy classic TV network of my own. I had such an extensive TV collection on DVD and digital, I thought that I could transfer much of my physical collection to my PC and then create my own weekday and weekend schedules which I would “program” using Plex playlists (think iTunes playlist for video).
However, I needed an identity for my network. WGUS TV was born...named after our beagle, Gus. The tag line would be, “Classic TV, commercial-free.” Launch date was June 1, 2020. I needed to create various sign ons, promos, and bumpers for my fictional network. So I taught myself some video editing using VSDC (still improving) and programmed my schedule, adding a sprinkle of my creative efforts here and there. Anyway, excuse the lengthy post by I uploaded several of my creations to YouTube and wanted to share with you. I will be sharing more as well as sharing my program schedule here as well. You’ll detect inspiration from early Nick At Nite, and some local and network 70s/80s nostalgia as well. Hope you enjoy! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...KvFt19d7NZiHkG |
