Default Mr. Roper can't control what a tenant does behind closed doors no matter how freaky

it is

Jack mention something about a whip in regard to eggs and Mr. Roper said....." Hey, None of that stuff around here"

Let's say Jack was into whips and chains, is that really any of the landlord's business?

I always thought it was weird that he was so afraid of unmarried adults having sex in his building yet had no problem with a gay guy living in his building.
In their eyes both are sins but gay sex must be off the charts. So Jack could have sex with a guy in his apartment and he would not care? But if he had sex with Janet, he would freak out.

Just always found that odd.

He really shouldnt have concerned himself at all with the tenants sex life when they are paying rent whether they was gay or straight. So yes it was odd. And why would it matter to him if Jack was involved in fetish activities? lol

While I liked Mr. Roper, he was a bit of a jackass sometimes. I remember my mother saying:

“I wouldn’t marry that grouchy, nosy, unfair ass Roper”

LOL.

Remember when he was listening to Jack and Chrissy’s business through the pipe and invading their privacy? I always found him as nosy and eavesdropping.

I would buy the Ropers DVD if it was released as a complete set with bonuses and confirmed as UNCUT because I really like Roper.

I got sick of seeing Ruta Lee playing his brief love interests. She appeared on the show at least a dozen times. I didn’t like him as much as Mr. Roper because:

He never had a wife
He was too goofy and klutzy and loose
Almost no one respected him
No one took him seriously
Almost all his airtime had something to do with the trio’s shenanigans and situations while with Mr. Roper he had a storyline sometimes and he had a comedic setup and scenes with Mrs. Roper that balanced out the show
