Default Did Barry Manilow try to expand his career to do Spanish language albums?

I discovered that Barry Manilow had released albums in Spanish in the 70's and it makes me think that Barry Manilow was trying to appeal to the Spanish language audience. I found that Barry sung in Spanish very well and I never knew that Barry Manilow had known Spanish

Spanish is a big portion of the world's native tongue. So, while I didn't know he had done this, I can't say that I am shocked. For a talented artist it's a good way to grow the business.

When I used to live out on the west coast, I had several co-workers who had emigrated from Central America in the 80s and 90s. And it used to surprise me how many of the old "pop" hits of the 60s they knew by heart.

I don't envision that the Monkees did Spanish language versions of "Last Train to Clarksville" for example,..... but it might have been a good idea to try.
