Default Did Janet really marry David Ruprecht's character on Three's Company?

I found it surprising that on Three's Company the character Janet married her boyfriend who happened to be played by Supermarket Sweep's David Ruprecht and I was shocked when I heard about this. Did David Ruprecht star in any other Three's Company episodes after Janet's wedding? I have never seen this episode and would like seeing it just to see David Ruprecht act in it alone

Welcome to 1984!

He was in four Three's Company episodes but I've never watched anything he played in after that besides Supermarket Sweep.

Here are the episodes he's in......

s08e19 - The Heiress
s08e20 - Cupid Works Overtime
s08e21 - Friends And Lovers (part 1)
s08e22 - Friends And Lovers (part 2)

Worse character of Season 8. He’s up there with Vicki.

I saw him on an episode of Too Close For Comfort and in one of those Gilligan's Island reunion movies as Thurston Howell's son.

I think he would have been a nice replacement for Steve on Married with Children

They reminded me of each other

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that for a quick second. They both had that snobby, ritzy, elegant look.

David and Janet? Aw hell no. I can picture it now. David and Janet living in a mansion in Burbank with a maid that looks like Pearl from DS and has a personality like Adelaide, Mr. Furley for their butler, David’s parents, Mother and Father Dawson, and with poor, struggling neighbors up the streets.

Jack, Vicki, Terri, Larry, Janet’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roper, and Cindy make cameos.

It would be canceled after four months

David Ruprecht has had a really odd showbiz career. He's not a big-time star, but two of the bit parts he's had are very notable pop culture-wise, as Thurston Howell IV in the last Gilligan's Island movie and the guy who married Janet at the end of Three's Company. He was also famous as Toyota's commercial pitchman in the 1980s; I thought it was great when Toyota brought him back for nostalgic spots in 2009, during the depths of the Great Recession. Ruprecht was a correspondent for Real People on NBC in the early 1980s, though I don't recall him in that role. I'd consider all of those gigs as higher profile than being host of Supermarket Sweep, which had a decently long run, but was such a cheesy low-profile game show. I'm not sure whether I'd remember that he was a game show host if there weren't so many fans of SS on this web site.
