Sad Family Ties is getting cheated.

This may have been posted before but here is the Nick-at-Nite Summer Camp schedule.

Sunday:
10pm-2am ET/PT - Cheers
2am-6am ET/PT - All in the Family

Monday:
10pm-2am ET/PT - The Cosby Show
2am-6am ET/PT - Family Ties

Tuesday:
10pm-2am ET/PT - Cheers
2am-6am ET/PT - Three's Company

Wednesday:
10pm-2am ET/PT - All in the Family
2am-6am ET/PT - The Cosby Show

Thursday:
10pm-2am ET/PT - The Cosby Show
2am-6am ET/PT - Cheers

The Cosby Show and Cheers are both great show, but don't you think Family Ties is getting the poor end of the deal here??? It's frustrating. The Cosby Show and Cheers both appear 3 times one the schedule, while Family Ties is only on once.

Family Ties Quotes:

Mallory: Alex, I told you whenever you take a message to write down who called, when they called, and what it was about.
Alex: I did. Somebody stupid called, sometime today, about something trivial.
Mallory: Alex, you know that could be ANY one of my friends.

Mallory: I know you came into my room and read my diary Alex!
Alex: Don't be silly, I just came into your room to get a book.
Mallory: Ha! What would a book be doing in my room!
Alex: *shrugs* She's got me there.

Mallory: You guys, I would like you to meet someone. This is Jamie Carter.
Alex: AHHH!!!! *jumps onto Steven's lap*
Steven: Alex, she said "Jamie" not "Jimmy".
Alex: *to Jamie* Oh. You should seriously consider getting that changed.

Jennifer: There is nothing like a smile from a hunk.
Mallory: I know, it's even better than when you walk into your
classroom and you see a movie projector set up.

That sucks! I think All In The Family should be put on less and Family Ties should be on more.

That's exactly why I'm taping all the FT episodes, so I can watch it when I want. I'm almost done.

I like The Cosby Show and Cheers, but I have felt like Family Ties has been cheated since it came to N@N. It is on soooo late at night that I can never watch it. And now they can't even put it on at a decent time for the summer mini marathons! UGH! I love this show and I want the chance to see it.

Personally I think this whole Camp Nick at Nite thing is stupid! I don't like to only have two shows a night to choose from. Especially on Sunday when it is Cheers and All in the Family!

Default I agree!

I agree with you 100%, it is very disappointing to see Cheers and All in the Family gets multiple excellent spots ... and Family Ties be put in only one late night slot!

At least I have Family Ties on a few locals, so not all is lost

Sad Nick at Nite Mailing Address??

I'm so mad about the camp nick at nite thing. Family ties was already being cheated by being put on at 2 AM. And now it's even worse. I think that Family Ties should have been put on before Cheers since Family Ties is more suitable for the whole 'family'. Hence the name... But does anyone know of a way to write to Nick at Nite and give them a few helpful suggestions?!

I agree, I wish Family Ties was on more, and had a better time slot as well. But as far as why it has such a bad time slot, and is played less is obvious. It is because of ratings. Of course Nick At Nite is going to play Family Ties less than Cheers, and Cosby, because it's ratings are much lower. I heard that Cosby is one of the highest, if not the highest rated show in Nick At Nite history. Plus with Cheers you have to remember that they did over 100 more episodes than Family Ties, so they have to play more episodes to get through the series in a decent amount of time. They have to keep Family Ties as fresh as possible, and playing too many episodes a night would make casual fans get sick of it. Of course all of this is easy for me to say since I have every episode on tape. I guess everyone should just take Golden Family Ties advice and just start taping every episode.

Post I have been taping as many as I can since Febuary

I started taping episodes in Febuary for two reasons: (1)Because it's the best show EVER, and (2) because it's terrrible time slot.

When I started to tape episodes, I would watch them the next day on my family's living room tv. One day I was watching an episode and my dad came home from work just then. My dad stopped by to see what I was watching on tv. When he saw it was Family Ties, he let out a little groan. (The kind of groan that says "Oh, I remember that show...") And then he went and sat at the computer. A few minutes later I could tell he was listening. My dad was laughing as much, or even more , than I was. Soon, he came over and started watching the episodes with me. We have been watching them together ever since.

My younger sister also watches the show sometimes with me. And my friend, who remembers watching the show when she was much younger, recently started watching it again. Now, Family Ties comes up in many of our conversations . So there's three more Family Ties fans!!!

Anyway, sorry I babbled on and on. Sometimes I get carried away. But I have one more comment to add:

I also remember reading somewhere about it poor ratings on Nick-at-Nite. But, I don't feel that Nick-at-Nite had given it a fair chance on their schedule. I honestly think that Family Ties may suffer the same fate as Facts of Life and Different Strokes. (Both of these shows were played on Nick-at-Nite for a little while and then removed)

Three's company should be on more. And it should be on earlier ion the regular lineup. NAN plays Cheers and The Cosby Show too much.

Nick at Nite makes me sooooooo mad. They are horrible. Both FT and TC need to be shown more, and they have to stop showing stupid Cheers so much!!!! Man... Nick at Nite REALLY stinks. I'm getting soooo sick of Cheers and the Cosby Show...It seems like that's all they show.

I love "Cheers" and "The Cosby Show," but I too agree that Family Ties is getting the sour end of the deal. Cheers is shown at a good time almost every night, and I can hardly bring myself to stay up just to watch FT anymore, and that really sucks because I love this show!

Cheers is my favorite show but I do think they should stop showing it four times a night and put Family Ties in one of its time slots. I also hate the camp nick at nite thing.

Yeah! That really does suck when you go figure out. When does this dumb Camp Nick At Nite end anyway? By the way, I downloaded a cool Family Ties MIDI file, if you play 5 octaves lower, it sounds really good.=)

I love Cheers too, but seriously! They should stop with the Diane episodes one night and then Rebecca episodes two nights later. Family Ties should be on Fridays earlier slot, and al least one of the Cheers thrown out. Another thing is if they are showing Three's Company and All in the Family on TV Land, why are they still on N@N? I mean, FOL left N@N and the Halmark channel picked it up.

Default khhhh

I agree.

Cheers is great--somewhat. I love it, but I'd rather only see two episodes a night--not four, and not 8 or whatever monstrous number they have going now. That is insane. I liked it more when FT first came on, and -it- got four episodes a night.

Three's Company is one of my favorite shows. I love the personalities. Now I almost never get to see it anymore because of its crummy time slot. Both of these shows combined force me to stay up until 4am.

The reason Cosby is the highest rated show is because they -play- it the most--of course more people are going to end up watching a show that comes on 30 times a day. I don't even watch Nick at Nite recently, because of the whole Camp Nick at Nite thing. It's ridiculous.

Family Ties is probably the best show on Nick at Nite right now. That whole schedual needs to be rethought. I've been a fan of Nick at Nite for at least 6 years...and this is probably the lowest I've seen them go. I miss the days when there were no massive marathons or double takes or any of that....it was a different show every 30 minutes and they were -all- good. Now they only show, what, 6 shows? Come on now.
