Hi,
This may seem a little off-topic thread - I just wanted to release my anxiety. We are new to homeschooling, we started August 2020 and we just finished the Fall Semester. Since it is our first time, damn it was truly difficult and challenging, especially that we do independent homeschooling so I need to facilitate his daily lessons, activities, assessments and the like plus I am a work-from-home mom. I got so overwhelmed and it affects me being an OCD person. I wanted everything in order, set in place, organize. Every thing juggles in my mind causing anxiety attack. Have you had similar situation? How did you manage it. Your thoughts are deeply appreciated. Thank you. |

I imagine there are a lot of people feeling like you do. My son isn't in school, he's in his 20's so we don't have to worry about home schooling but my husband's sister is raising 2 grand kids and they are not doing well at all with home schooling. She can't get them online when they're supposed to be, they won't do their work. They won't listen to her and she has COPD on top of all that and has to use oxygen. I feel bad for her but all I can do is listen when she needs to vent. So you're not alone. Try to find a friend or relative that will listen to you when you get overwhelmed.

I certainly feel for all you people that have to go thru all this STUFF. Not at all handled right and needs to be changed. And it will end, so do your best to go easy on yourself and your children, they are so innocent. And work too to reduce the OCD issues in your life, only doing more harm.. It all works out, let go of a lot of stuff. I did my share in my 82 yrs and can speak from years of trying to change others, etc... Peace Out..
