Hello.
My name is Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde and I am dedicated to creating floorplans from movies and television series. You can see my illustrations on different websites and publications. Recently a "Murder, She Wrote" fan suggested me to make a floorplan of Jessica Fletcher's house in Cabot Cove. As a fan of the series this project seemed very interesting to me but I have several doubts... I know that over a dozen seasons and hundreds of episodes the house has only appeared in a dozen of them. Could someone help me to locate those episodes? The fact that it has appeared in so few episodes is the main problem cause only a small part of the house will have been shown. I remember the kitchen and vaguely part of the living room and a formal dining room. Does anyone remember if anything else was shown? A bedroom or a bathroom maybe ... I know the actual house is in Mendocino, CA and it's a B&B called "Blair House" but obviously the interiors were built in a studio and I'm not sure they will fit 100 X 100 with the actual exterior. These are my biggest doubts and fears facing this project. I would appreciate any kind of suggestion or help on this topic. Thank you very much in advance. Iñaki https://www.instagram.com/ializar/ |

Season 3, episode 13 'Crossed Up' Jessica is bedridden, all of her scenes are in her bedroom.

And as for Jessica’s house:
The exterior Victorian Best Little Whorehouse set, relocated from stage 12 feature filming, to a hill area on the back lot, was a stand-in for the Mendocino Victorian. The interiors of this house were filmed, redressed, repainted, redecorated, for many of the episodes for other story scenarios. https://hookedonhouses.net/2014/12/1...der-she-wrote/ I watched numerous episodes from every season of the show possible to get as many interior shots of the sets as I could to show you. I was surprised to find how few episodes actually take place at her house. |
