Default I dont like the looks of the Ed character

Looks like ann's father and the girls grandfather. Just didnt seem to fit on the show. I was loving all the episodes until he showed

I dislike the character so much that I check to see how many more times he appears on the show between season 1 and the end of the series

7 more times. Way too many

Yep, Ann married Ed when she was a teen. I think he's supposed to be like 15 years older than her.

Well he appeared on Mama’s Family, as Mr. Hanson, Bubba and Thelma’s night school teacher and Thelma’s fling. His character and Thelma was supposed to be a little over 65. Keep in mind that he appeared on Mama’s Family not even a decade after One Day At A Time. I’m lost for words. All I can say is that he did look the part.

Don’t get me start on the 2ND ALAN. I didn’t warm up to Beau much but I hardly had a problem with him I don’t agree with you about Cindy she fitted in very well she was just more of a temporary replacement rather than a whole different independent character.

He also appeared on an episode of Golden Girls. He played an undercover police officer doing a stakeout.

Well Terri was only one foot shorter but I see what you mean. I could’ve sworn in one Cindy episode that her and Jack was the same exact height.

I remember that. He was nearly a decade younger than Bea Arthur but somehow looked a decade OLDER.

Ed, Nick, and Sam were not good fits on this show. David was a good fit but too bad he is gone after the first few episodes of season 2. David makes one last appearance in the final episode of season 6.

I would have to take a look at the DVD but I think he looks pretty much the same unless he had grown a beard. "Indianapolis Story" from season 6 is David's last episode.
