Default The year you started watching Facts

I started watching TFOL about 10 years ago. I don't remember the exact year, 2009 if I'm correct. How did you discover the show? I was watching DS and Mrs. Garrett was my favorite character. Then Adelaide came on the show and I found out Charlotte Rae left for a spin off based on her character.

Nick at Night gave the wrong impression of the show. They banned so many episodes and cut out parts of others.

I agree. I watched some later seasons episodes on Dailymotion and I was surprised, they cut out so many scenes.

You’re right, they only showed HALF of season 1!

At least they showed half season. Here in Italy they always skip season 1 and start with Double Standard

The problem is: they skip The New Girl too

But here in Italy season 5 is the least popular.
I don't know why they never show season 1.
I don't hate the first year, not a huge fan but I enjoy s1 for what it is and I love several episodes like I.Q., The Return of Mr. Garrett

I don't know if this is the first time I ever watched the show, but I remember watching the episode The Last Drive In when it originally aired in 1985 (I was 15)

Yeah, I noticed you said DS and not TNG. That is strange.

Interesting, how do you know that?

Probably just to keep things more "uniform" I guess. One less "era" to show, lol.

I thought you were exaggerating, but I went through my FOL tapes and saw I had recorded the missing episodes N@N didn't air from Hallmark. Which brings me to this one important question; when did Hallmark air The Facts of Life? I thought I had already left California when the channel was airing the show. Once I moved to the state I'm currently in, I stopped recording altogether. Hallmark had to have aired this show before 2006 for me to have them. I didn't know N@N didn't air all of season 1. It's been a while since N@N had the show.

I did find something I forgot I had. I used to cut out TV Guide advertisements and paste them on my VHS covers. I did it with Buffy every week a new episode was advertised. I forgot I cut out the close up ad for the reunion movie of the FOL. I have the original broadcast airing recorded. I must have used the tape to record the Christmas episodes the following month since I pasted the TV Guide descriptions on the cover as well. This tape is.... well it's not important how old it is But back to the point it's cool finding these treasures you forget you have

Not necessarily I have no problem with season 1 airing. Just because it's not my cup of tea doesn't mean it shouldn't air.

I have no clue when I started watching FOL. It's possible I started in the late 80's on local channels because I remember watching one of the Eastland Jo episodes with my great grandmother. When USA started airing the show back in the early 90's, that's when I really became the huge fan I am now. It's a fun show that I enjoy and stuck with wherever it aired. Now that I have the series set, I watch whenever I want and whichever episode I'd like to see. It's a lot better now watching the show than back on syndication
