Anyone watched the premiere episode of Fox's revival of Name That Tune?

I thought it was one of the best revivals of the last few years. Jane Krakowski handled the hosting duties well and had good rapport with the contestants and Randy Jackson. She was a lot less shrill than Leslie Jones on Supermarket Sweep.

The show remained true to the 70s revival that was hosted by Dennis James in daytime and Tom Kennedy in access syndication by retaining features such as Bid-a-Note and The Golden Medley which goes back to the original George DeWitt version. But where was Melody Roulette? It was a staple of not only the 70's version but also the 80s incarnation hosted by Jim Lange.

Name That Tune has a chance to be one of fox's most successful game shows and it hits the high note.

Jane Krakowski was in my all time favorite movie, Kelsey Grammer's musical version of A Christmas Carol. But my doubt about watching this show is if they throw in a bunch of hip hop and rap dreck that has become popular. Even one song of that is too much.
