Former Children Of Bodom Guitarist/Vocalist Alexi Laiho dead at 41

I saw Children Of Bodom several times, the first as they were one of the opening bands for Slayer's Unholy Alliance tour in 2006 with Thine Eyes Bleed, Mastodon, and Lamb Of God. I saw them headline in Seattle in 2008 where I bought an Alexi Laiho guitar instruction DVD, and then in 2013 as the headlining band on the second stage of the Mayhem festival.

Children Of Bodom had dark themes of life out of control in such songs as "Are You Dead Yet?", "Angels Don't Kill", "Needled 24/7", and others. They were at the forefront of Finnish extreme metal. Alexi Laiho was a very gifted guitarist.
