I got only one question wrong (the street address one) on this quiz. How did you do?
Also can you spot the things in the answers following the questions where the author got things wrong? https://www.mp3.com/the-facts-of-lif...dhYUDB9g_wSG2s |

Thanks for sharing! This quiz takes a while.
I was a "genius", but I missed a few answers, some of which were wrong, or only partially right. It's kind of weird how they kept giving away the answers with the photos: "Which character dated Eddie?" is paired with a photo of Eddie with Jo. And then some of the 'answers' were not accurate: "Later on in the show, the girls discover that Natalie is adopted." Yeah, later on, as in Episode 10. ![]() Still, even though some of the questions/answers were a little off, I enjoyed taking it. |

The only other person who can call Jo by her full name is her father. It's one of the key points in The Secret. How did they not know that? Also, the career Jo took right after college was social work. That was her job in season 9. I only got the spinoff question wrong. I had to google this to find out the 6th attempt. I don't consider Graduation a spinoff attempt if it actually is one. The spinoff attempts are like Brian and Sylvia or The Academy. Episodes where we hardly see the main cast because they're trying to unload a new cast of characters on us.

I got genius. The images are freakin' huge. I had to scale down my browser to 50% to go through the quiz.
Maybe Natalie, the journalist, should have fact-checked this quiz because I did find errors. Lots of mismatched images, inaccurate blurbs to explain the answer, strangely and confusingly phrased questions, double answers on one question, and some answers were not "technically" right. There was a question that asked, "What was the last name of Beverly Ann?" and in their explanation blurb, they mentioned that Mrs. Garrett, the "resident housemother" had left the show, but she had dropped the title years before, and was more like a "business partner" at this point, although I do understand that "resident housemother" title was merely symbolic. There was a question that asked, "Which of these girls was not in season 1?" The answer was Jo, but in the blurb, they mentioned that the rest of the ensemble cast from season 1 (minus Natalie, Blair, and Tootie) were dropped after season 1. Although, they technically were not completely dropped until later in the Eastland years. "In what show was The Facts of Life a spin-off?" was a weird question because it was missing the "of" at the end of the sentence. The question about Cindy was weird. It said, "What hair color does Cindy have on the earlier episodes?" It was always blonde, so it was weird for it to ask about season 1, specifically, because we don't see it in another color in successive seasons. And then in the blurb that followed it said that "Cindy Webster, played by Julie Anne Haddock, was somehow a main character in Season 1." Um, yeah, because she was a main character in season 1? The picture had an episode from "'62 Pick-Up" too, which was weird, because she wasn't even in that episode, even though she appeared in season 8. The spin-off attempt question I got right. There was "Jo's Cousin," "The Academy," "Bryan and Slyvia," "Graduation", "Big Apple Blues," "The Beginning of the Beginning/End." However, they mentioned in the blurb that followed about Blair being a "housemother" in the last episodes, even though she was technically, the "headmaster." The blurb that followed "Who became a big shot lawyer?" was wrong. It said, "the audiences find out in the 2001 The Facts of Life Reunion that Blair went to law school and now manages a hotel with her husband Tad." Um, we already knew she went to law school in the series. She starts to attend in season 8. It was weird how they gave the answer in previous images or blurbs. And sometimes, as I mentioned before, there'd be questions where the image didn't even match the season they're talking about, like an Edna's Edibles image appearing at the question: "Why do the girls have to share a room again even after paying off the damages from the van?" Maybe it would've been better to have that image where they ask about why they started Edna's Edibles. The image for: "Which TV show did The Facts of Life give a nod to in a Halloween episode?" was completely wrong. They showed an image from "The Halloween Show" and they should've shown an image from "Seven Little Indians." The image may throw people off because I was trying to think of a TV show or movie reference from "The Halloween Show." The question: "Where do the main characters move to?" had two of the same answers: 19 Harrison Way. That's the only question I got wrong. Spoiler: it was 918 High Street. The question about who can call her Joanna should've had her parents in one of the selections. The question: "What career does Jo pursue after college?" was technically wrong. She pursues social work, but then later we find out in the Reunion movie that she's now in the criminal justice field. They mentioned this fact earlier in the quiz. The author must've forgotten she pursued social work right after college. So yeah, it was a "Less than Perfect" quiz! |

(BTW, there actually is a High Street in Peekskill, and it even starts in downtown Peekskill, but that road ends after three blocks. Kinda cool, though, that we can see the actual street they "lived on".) |

The "six spin-offs" idea may have been based on this Tripod site, last updated in 2005, which mentions the Graduation episodes being a spin-off attempt. I'm skeptical. Those episodes weren't scripted as a spin-off, and the following episode, in Season 5, kept the cast intact. While it may have been an idea someone in the production or the network had, it must have been explored only briefly, and never even made it into an actual production, unlike the other spin-off ideas. That's why it sticks out so much as something which feels quite unlike the other items on the list.

I got two wrong, I guessed four spin-offs instead of six and guessed Jo became a lawyer in the reunion movie since I hadn’t seen that since it aired.

I agree with Christopher: there is NO WAY 'The graduation' episode was a spin off lol!
First of all, it would have been absolutely dumb for the producers/writers to let go of the two main stars at that point (JO & BLAIR) without MRS G, TOOTIE & NAT: the 5 of them were an ensemble by then, and splitting them up would have been the hugest mistake ever! I also vote that it was just a rumour.... |

Where is this mentioned by the crew of FOL? Do any of the stars confirm this? One of the documentaries I watched mentions that they were wondering how the girls would live together and stay with Mrs. Garrett in season 5. Never was it mentioned that the original plan was for Blair and Jo to be spun off.
