Did Supermarket Sweep have a villain in the original version? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I decided to start my morning routine a little different today and I watched some David Ruprecht Supermarket Sweep episodes on Youtube this morning and found an episode from 1990 that featured something that I didn't know about Supermarket Sweep. In the 1990 episodes of Supermarket Sweep they originally had a character who would patrol the aisles known as the Off-Limits Aisles and what his duty was that if a team was in the Off-Limits Aisles at the same time he was the team would get caught and the character would take one of their items away. When I saw this character I think of him as the villain of Supermarket Sweep. The character looks like a human version of the Rick And Morty character Scary Terry and looked very cool. I'm glad that this character wasn't in the 1991 version because he would've been sneaky to take the team's items away

Was this the same character who would "bump" contestants trying to get items?

I am glad that they removed that part of the game. It made the game too complicated and was unfair.

Hi, Bestie! No I never knew they had a villain in SSS! I don't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing. But maybe Leslie will try it out. Do you think she will?
