This is somethin' I'd always kinda thought about, so I figured I'd post it.
Okay, so, in "Rough Housing", I'm very impressed with Cindy---and I'm not just sayin' this cause she's my favorite of the axed Season 1 girls, lol. ![]() She's tough yet insecure, cute yet "disguised", has a good heart...I just love her! ![]() So the pilot revolves around Cindy, and then she's never featured again except for "co-starring" in "Running"---and even then, she seems to have the least "meat" next to Sue Ann, Mr. Bradley, and Mrs. Garrett. I just think it's so sad---here's a wonderful character, the most non-traditional "girl" type, lotsa great potential for good stories (especially with Blair, her opposite), and yet, it's like pretty much after the pilot, her 1 "real" episode, the writers didn't bother to spotlight her again. Arrrrrrgh! Molly seems to be in the same boat, with Nancy bein' the most short-changed---but I'm speakin' up for Cindy cause I love her, and it ticks me off the most, lol. Season 1 was Mrs. Garrett's season for the most part, and as far as the girls were concerned, it pretty much became the Blair/Sue Ann/Tootie show, lol. It just irks that me that the cool kinda "pre-Jo" character of Cindy Webster didn't get to shine as much as she should have. Okay...just had to vent, lol. |
