I wonder how many times Charlotte Rae and Kim Fields had to do the scene over?
The episode when Tootie brother was driving while drunk and Mrs Garrett said you could have called me you know I would have picked you up. And then Tootie said......I didnt want to bother you because it was Friday and you was watching Dallas
Look like she was fighting laughter to get through that scene lol |

I thought it was kind of weird too that MRS G would watch DALLAS: i used to watch Dallas (not my granny lol!) as anyone my generation would.....

Mrs. Garrett was about the same age as Larry Hagman and JR's parents were both known vaudeville acts, so it wouldn't surprise me that Mrs. Garrett would watch the show. Maybe she had the hots for Patrick Dempsey.
