Bridget Moynahan, under the knife?

Does anyone other than myself suspect she has had considerable cosmetic surgery the past few years?

Disclaimer: She is a beautiful woman, far above any right that I would have to criticize, so I'm not just trying to disrespect her. But some time ago I visited a website for one of the "Living Barbies", that had charted out the customary facial locations where plastic surgeons work their magic...around the chin, the jowls, the lips and nose, as well as the high cheeks and temples.

And just in the past few years when watching the latest episodes, when she is turned just right in relation to the light source...I've been noticing faint lines in these "popular" modification locations.

You won't see them in any of the glamour headshots that are released for public consumption, those shots appear to be posed to maximum benefit.

But if you compare the "Erin" we get today, compared to the Erin of 2011-12...those lines just are not there in the older episodes

And for the record, I'm not talking about wrinkles....I'm talking about "whoap, lookee there" lines that are very subtle

Just curious. I guess when you build a career around your appearance, it's not uncommon to do what you can to extend your service life....

I don't know if anything was done, but people doing such a thing to themselves is something that I will never get. Why can't people just leave themselves alone and let the natural things about themselves show? The real thing can't be beaten anyway. To me, the only thing that might make any sense is someone dying their hair due to the fact that they went premature gray. Yeah I may be biased because my most favorite actor, Bronson Pinchot that is, eventually went onto be guilty of this action, but I guess that it was only done because of how rare it is for something like that to happen to a person so soon.

First of all, let me emphasize that I agree with you, whole-heartedly.

But at the same time, I believe there has been considerable study given to the vanity of the fans in general, and how (typical) fans have this expectation that their idols be "worthy" of their adulation.

For instance, do you believe that Frank Sinatra would have risen to the level of stardom that he enjoyed, if he had the appearance of "Fred Mertz"? (this is one of my favorite examples, which I've used before)

We can appreciate talent on a fundamental level, without the sizzle. But, if a star is going to command our adulation (and the truly big dollars), they evidently have to take it to the next level.

Judy Garland I guess was a classic example of this, her directors and wardrobers used to lament how she was built like a truck. Finally putting her under the knife at adulthood to reduce the discs of her nose, and etc....striving for the more "popular" streamlined look. (despite her incredible talent not dependent upon looks)

I think it is nonsense, but then I've never earned a hundred million dollars in showbusiness, either.....so mine is definitely an "unqualified" opinion. Those who know the business, appear to see no alternative,...it's become a defacto status quo, of sorts.

Look at the gross mess that Michael Jackson made of himself, or look to people such as Lisa Rinna, for a good laugh.

With Bridget Moynahan, maybe a part of it relates to what age she was when she became a weekly feature....she kind of entered the spotlight just in time for her decline to start. And she's been a solid example for weekly comparison to herself for nearly 10 years now.

Hard to miss.
