Default For TV Fact Fan, Penny criticisms he is sure to drool over! ;)

TV Fact Fan has been very vocal about his strong dislike of the Penny Character played by Janet Jackson. He is sure to enjoy these criticisms by GT Fans about Penny Gordon Woods!

"Penny was a User. Called Willona "Mama," when she wanted Ice Skating Lessons and usually called her Willona. Sociopathic Shrew...."

"I found the Penny Character unrealistic. I work with plenty of abused and neglected children and they are cold and distant, not the sunny and happy way Penny came across.

"Penny at 10-11 was hitting on JJ, a grown man in his 20's! What the heck was a CHILD doing hitting on a GROWN man? Her wanting to live with JJ was CREEPY. My Mama would have spanked me had I been some CHILD hitting on a grown man."

"I might come off as a jerk for saying this, but Penny DID deserve some kind of punishment for knowingly defying her Mother. She knew her Mother told her to go straight home after school and what does she do? She goes to the MOVIES after school knowing her Mother wanted her to go straight home. "

"Penny wanted to be ALONE with Bookman and watch Bookman work on a bed? What the hell? Bookman is like in his late 30's early 40s! Why did a CHILD want to be alone with grown Bookman and watch grown Bookman work on a bed? Weird huh? "

"Penny never really seemed like part of the Family. It was clear that Janet was just saying her lines and didn't have any REAL chemistry with the characters. It was weird."

"I never did like how Penny seemed to be manipulating JJ. WHY was Penny speaking to JJ like she was an Adult anyways?"

"Penny seemed kind of immature to me. She's supposed to be about 10 and she was playing House like she was about 5! What the hell?"

"Penny has a bad attitude in the episode where Willona finds Jeffrey's gifts overwhelming and denies Penny the Brass bed. Penny SCREAMS at Willona like a spoiled brat. Willona should have spanked her for how disrespectful she was. It was only the fact that Ms Gordon abused Penny so much that Willona didn't spank her..

Penny SET the couch on FIRE accidentally and LET Thelma, Michael, and JJ tell WILD stories about how the couch got set on fire and stayed silent until the very last minute when Thelma pointed out the pot was COLD when she set it on the couch. She THEN told the truth
.She could have just admitted the accidental fire right off the bat. Seemed a bit Sociopathic to me. "

"Penny honestly should have been dropped after the abuse episodes in early Season 5. Penny was GOOD in those abuse episodes, but after that her character became useless and pointless. If not dropped altogether, she should have MAYBE been adopted by Bookman and Violet so that she'd be seen SPARINGLY rather than Willona's daughter where she was seen OFTEN...."

Enjoy, TV Fact Fan!

That 4 part episode with her character being introduced in season 5 came on tonight and I turned it off I refuse to watch any episode with Penny ever again unless someone online is selling Original CBS episodes from season 5 with all commercials lol

Damn, not even Thelma Moves Out, Bye, Bye, Bookman, or Wheels and J.J. and The Bosses Daughter with The Awesome Foursome and The Gleesome Threesome? Those are some of the best episodes of Season 5.

What the hell was Penny’s mama smoking or drinking? After J.J. brought Penny home, Penny ran to the bathroom door to escape from her mama but it was locked then Penny’s mama explained that she locked the door because she knew she’d try to run away. How was anyone gonna get in that bathroom? Was Ned The Wino in there drinking the toilet water, tryin to sober up? Did Penny’s mama use her brains? I posted a thread about this earlier.

And that Iron was unrealistic because no child would be able to tolerate pain from having someone iron their back

Yeah a belt or a paddle or a broom or a mop or a shoe would’ve been more realistic.

Can you imagine the pain of having a burning back?

A child would have passed out in real life

Either that or they would’ve peed on themselves. Possibly both.

Yeah noticed how she looks significantly different compared to her other four appearances in Season 4 she’s slightly darker and she has a different hairstyle.
