Sad Disney has a weird Rule

Does anyone know why Disney Channel has this weird rule that when a show has 65 episodes it has to end? I was just on tvtome.com and they said that Lizzie McGuire is ending because Disney has this rule. Many people are clinging to there computers and putting up petitions and writing to Disney because they don't want it to end.

Yea, it sucks. The only Disney show I watch is Even Stevens, which is over with also.

I noticed that too, that is a completely stupid "rule." IMO.

Angry How could they?

You're right, I can't believe that they're that desprate to hold a show, that held great ratings, and the fans will be heart-broken, and the actors loose they're jobs because of this mishap.

That is a pretty stupid rule. I don't know, maybe another channel will buy the rights to Lizzie? It was a big show, and I'm sure somebody is just ready to pounce on it. Switching networks could make it jump the shark though. Usually if it switches networks, they make a bunch of changes and that just screams 'Shark Jump' about 90% of the time.

Well someone on the Lizzie board said that ABC is going to bring it to their primetime. But I don't know if that just means reruns of it or new episodes of it.

They only have a 65 episode contract, so they are all aware of it.

Well what I have heard even if ABC does pick of Lizzie they'll all be repeat episodes because they have already torn down the Lizzie set.

Wasn't Lizzie shot on location? Anywayz, I think they might do exactley what NBC did with "Good Morning Miss Bliss." I think ABC will probably pick up Lizzie and put new episodes on Friday nights or Saturday mornings. They probably might add new characters and get anew set, also. Possibly a name change too.

i didn't read ALL of the replies, so someone might have already said. Disney isn't made out of money! it's more of not having enough money to do more episodes, than a rule. It's like with the WB and Buffy. They couldn't afford it anymore, so they cancelled it. If there wasn't UPN, Buffy would be gone...

There nicktoons have over 65 episodes....And, most of there shows get cancelled before 65 episodes, cuz they're REALLY stupid! Kenan & Kel, Cousin Skeeter...The only good live action Nick shows are: Clarissa, Pete & Pete, and Taina.
