And perhaps some "way over the top" desert such as banana-pecan cobbler.....something so appealing that despite being way over stuffed already, you HAVE to eat a piece anyway, and she gets a thrill from watching you suffer through it |

She’d definitely include a Brussels Sprouts casserole - just for Beaver lol.

LOL, personally.....I have always loved broccoli, enjoyed lima beans, liked spinach, even tolerated cauliflower....and gradually learned to like asparagus...
But brussel sprouts are something I always had to choke down.....Only recently did I try them battered and deep fried.....much better that way than I previously was accustomed to |

I also wouldn't put it past June to hide some deep sea scallops in the dressing.

I think Aunt Martha's T'giving specialty was stewed kale. Since she came down from Riverside for the holiday, I'm sure she brought that irresistible dish.

Yes, and she brought a bat with her, to make sure everyone ate their kale.

As a bonus in this tumultuous year, she brings her famous-in- Riverside turnip casserole.
(Beaver politely excuses himself and heads for the bathroom) |

And when Aunt Martha does, June serves her very special Pepto Bismal milkshakes.

LOL - June was becoming a princess - she'd probably have Miss Manners come over and cook, so she would not mess up her nails ... btw (lame name for hired help though Margie Manners was a cutie)
so ya, I dislike the later years June that has a cleaning lady and snoops around too much, and has Ward be the Bad Guy +- ... ( my bad attitude toward June may has be exaggerating some here) |

Margie was played by cutie Candy Moore, who had bit parts in virtually every sitcom of the time. Her only regular role (I know of) was a couple of seasons as the older child Chris on the Lucy Show.
