Default Was Lucy a Slut?

Serious question. What do you think? When she was a teenager, she was screwing a gangster and got pregnant and put her baby up for adoption. She left town to have the baby and her family told everyone she went to New York to study acting. That baby is about 75 years old now and lives in upstate New York. A couple years later she had another baby and got an abortion. When she was in her twenties, she hooked up with half of Hollywood. Henry Fonda, Orson Welles, Pedro Berman. Who knows how many people? That Higgins book said she'd go to bed with anyone who came to her door if she thought he was decent looking. In the late 30's she started screwing a MARRIED MAN, director Alexander Hall. They got a Hollywood bungalow together near the studio so they could secretly have sex. This relationship wound up ruining his marriage. Ironically, years later Lucy expected people to feel sorry for her when Desi cheated on her. But you know what they say, what goes around comes around! LOL!

In 1940, Lucy met Desi. According to Desi's book, they had sex the very day they met! OMG! And she was still dating Alexander Hall at the time!!! A few years later, she and Desi separated and she started doing Peter Lawford. The day her divorce was supposed to become final in 1944, she and Desi had sex! In the 50s when Desi was fooling around on her, she was fooling around on him too, having sex with Red Buttons! Can you believe that? Desi found out what she was doing and threatened to make it public.

Every book I've ever read said Lucy kept loving Desi after their divorce. I wonder how many times she had sex with Desi after she married Gary Morton! What do you think? How loose was Lucy?

I really don't care if Lucy was loose.... Possibly all of the Hollywood Dames were loose (Look at Joan Crawford - I still love her though. And I still Lucy...............

P.S. I love subjects like this.........

Back in the day if you were a hollywood biggie you were protected from the press. As long as the public went to your movies or bought your records, any vices or bad habits were kept quiet. Once you werent popular anymore, they fed you to the wolves. If these stories about Lucy are true, so what. The woman is gone now and when she was here she gave us many entertaining moments. She didnt rub our noses in her private life like stars do today so let Lucy rest in peace.

It came from different places. The Higgins book talked about Lucy's relationship with much, much older Alexander Hall and how it ruined his marriage, and about their love bungalow. Lucy alluded to Alexander Hall (not actually giving his name) in her autobiography (Love, Lucy). But she left out all the good stuff that was in Higgin's book and made herself sound so innocent and like she was misunderstood. Desi talked in his autobiography about the first time he and Lucy got together and how he was jealous and didn't trust her (and she didn't trust him) when he went on the road with his band. I heard about Red Buttons from someone on the Internet. Some other source, maybe Desi's autobio, talked about how Desi threatened to reveal Lucy's 1950s affair to the public, but didn't indicate who the affair was with. Maybe it was Red Buttons. And there was a big article in the National Enquirer about Lucy's son, born in the late 20s, that she put up for adoption and about her abortion.

Joan Crawford was definitely a slut! I remember reading how she had sex with Clark Gable and then went around telling people about his balls. And she was married, what . . . four, five times? How can you love her, anyway? She beat her daughter! Just think whenever you watch one of her movies, the day she filmed that scene you're watching, she might have gone home that night and strangled little Cristina. "NO MORE WIRE HANGERS! E-VEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lucy's only kids are Lucie and Desi jr. You cant believe what you read in the Enquier magazine. That's full of lies, its never true. She might of slept with a few guys but she never got pregnant with someone besides desi.

I understand what you mean about Christina but, I seriously love Joan...... Even if she got around with half of Hollywood and stuff. I know what she did to Christina was wrong but, I just think that she was one of our greatest actresses who will never get the recognition she deserves but, only for the wire hangers. There are alot of actors and actresses who've done alot of bad stuff to their kids. A good example is Bing Crosby who hurted his own children too.

You can't go by what the Enquirer says that stuff in full of lies. If she did have a child back then we would of heard about long ago.

Oh my god! My eyeballs were bulging as I read that smut at the top of the page! Since when is the National Enquirer a reliable source? I rest my case. You really shouldn't believe everything you read, you know. I refuse to believe trash from somebody who probably doesn't give a care about Lucy. I love Lucy, and refuse to believe that she is a cheap whore. She is the most brilliant comedienne of all time, and people treasure that. Go to a tabloid if you want to talk about that kind of stuff, but here I'm pretty sure we all love Lucy and don't believe a word of this nonsense. And, by the way, Desi's book contradicts a lot with the accounts of others, too.

I agree that most of this stuff is a bunch of bull. First of all, she does mention Alexander Hall by name in her book. She said that "Al Hall had been married to Lola Lane, and was in no hurry to marry again; I enjoyed his company, but was not in love with him." From what I have heard, she was living with him when she met Desi but I doubt that she ruined Al Hall's marriage. And there probably wasn't too much anger on his part, because Hall ended up directing both her and Desi together in the movie "Forever Darling" 15 years later. And as for the pregnencies, I think we would have heard about that if it were true. Besides, her and Desi had so much trouble concieving themselves.

It's very common for a woman to have trouble conceiving and to have miscarriages after she's had an abortion.

According to the Charles Higgins book, Al rented a bungalow near the studio while he was still married so he and Lucy could rendevous together.

Nobody's a bigger Lucy fan than me. I agree she's the most brilliant comedienne ever. But that doesn't mean she was a perfect person. Marion Van Vlack was asked after Lucy's death whether she had had an abortion. Saying true friends don't reveal those kinds of things, she refused to answer, which probably means "yes".
