Default Sibling rivalry questions

Okay, I just caught the end of the episode again where Vanessa and Denise are in an all-out BRAWL in their room, and at the end the family is listenin' to Martin Luther King Jr. on TV, and Vanessa apologizes to Denise and Denise smiles at her.

What did they fight about earlier in the episode?? I saw a clip of 'em thrashin' around on a bed in the closin' credits, but I've never gotten to actually see what they were fightin' about.

And while I'm on the subject, what did Vanessa and Rudy fight about that made Cliff & Clair ban them to livin' in the basement together in a later season? Or was it just cause they were fightin' as sisters in general and it was gratin' on C&C's nerves?

Thanks for any info!

In the Denise/Vanessa fight they were fighting over a sweater. Vanessa took it out of Denise's closet without asking and they started to fight. The fight seemed so short on Nick at Nite.. when I watched it on WGN a few months ago it seemed a lot longer. . am I imagining things or was it edited?!?

And in the basement episode Rudy and Vanessa like put a hole in the floor or wall or somethign? lol I don't remember but they did that and they just kept arguing about stuff so they were locked in the basement.

HaHaHa! I agree! Go Vanessa! Denise was selfish not to share her sweater. Personally, I can't even imagine Denise wearing something as simplistic as that purple sweater. LOL!

I KNOW! I thought she was pretty selfish, too. Like, jeez, it's just one sweater. And Vanessa even asked nicely!

That's why I was sooooo glad to see Vanessa stand up and fight back! YEAH!! LOL!

*hates to actually get into conflict, but loves it on TV!*

I'm all for Denise getting on her case. Vanessa should have left that sweater alone.

I agree, Vanessa should have left the sweater alone. But, I do think Denise was being selfish. I am the fourth child of five children(that makes me the Vanessa of my family, but believe me we ARE NOT like the Huxtables, boohoo ) Anyway, I know how selfish older siblings can be! Also, my un-Huxtable-like parents always MADE us share our clothes. My little sister (five years younger than me...our Rudy, LOL) always took my things and I never beat her up for it!!!!!
