Default Roseanne Mentions on 'The Conners'- and Why No No-Photo Explanation?

I enjoy "The Conners" (though it is not quite as good without its matriarch). And I appreciate when they mention Roseanne by name and when they talk about the character in general- this past week's episode being a good example. I wish there would be more of it, though at the same time, he show wouldn't want to rely heavily on her for story.

However, one thing has bugged me- from a business standpoint, I understand that they wouldn't have photos of Roseanne, as there may be some kind of compensation that she'd have to receive (shows usually have a photo of a character when the actor has passed on in real life). However, I think, in the context of the show, they should address why there aren't any photos around- maybe it's too difficult for Dan, others in the family, etc.

Thoughts?

Sometimes it's too painful to be confronted by the memories of someone you've loved and lost. After I lost my mom, I took down all of the family photos around my house and put them into albums. I can still look at them when I want to see her and my dad, but I don't feel chained to the past like I used to when I saw them every time I turned around.

That would make sense- like said, just would be nice if there would be a comment about it on the show.

Returning to this thread.

The show still does decently with mentioning Roseanne (well, except for the Dan/Louise wedding episode- would have been a good time for the Conner family to talk about her). In particular, the episode with Roseanne's bible, and Darlene and Becky's reaction to hat Roseanne wrote in it was good.

However, still no mention on the show as to why there are no photos of Roseanne around/in the living room. There's a pic of Nana Mary and Bev, and another photo of a woman with glasses, though I don't think that's supposed to be Roseanne.

We're in the fifth season, and still no explanation in the show as to why there are no photos of Roseanne. However, in regard to the photos above the fireplace- there's Nana, Bev and a woman with glasses- is that supposed to be Roseanne, possibly younger?

And, of course, the Roseanne mentions/references continue, which is a plus.

I am convinced that the photo I mentioned in the last post is a young Roseanne Barr, with glasses. Has anyone confirmed, or can confirm?

^That would make sense, though why not write something into an episode- for instance, it's too painful to have her photo around.

As for the photo above the fireplace- young Roseanne or no? And if not, who is it supposed to be?

I'm glad the show continues to mention Roseanne by name, references her, etc.
