Has anyone else noticed that the one season sitcom, On Our Own which ran on CBS from 1977-1978 is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime. I was shocked when I found it. The episodes are not remastered and only 19 of the 22 episodes are available but this is better than nothing!
I've always wanted to see this show and it gives me hope that other short lives shows may show up one day. |

Yes this is good news, I was surprised too. I am not a prime member, so hopefully this will show on other services soon. I would love to see this again.
Here's hoping, these short lived or obscure shows are the ones I am very interested in. I was shocked that the Lucie Arnaz show appeared on Tubi Tv, I couldn't believe it! |

I always liked it and thought it was too bad that it didn't last more than the one season. I never understood why Lynnie (or Lyn) Greene did little else besides playing 'Young Dorothy' in 'Golden Girl' flashbacks or, for that matter, why Bess Armstrong's career seemed to fade after she played the mother in 'My So-Called Life'. Of course, it needs to noted that this was Dixie Carter's first regular sitcom role playing a rather vampish older colleague who the leads weren't sure was their friend or foe.
It's interesting that it was the first sitcom since the early 60's shot in NYC instead of LA but even that wasn't enough to save it. |
