I just sent Taco Bell this message on Facebook.
"Your awful decision to remove the popular Mexican pizzas from your menu was bad enough. Making it worse, last Friday I was going to get two more of them. But you had lied about it being available through the first week of November, they were already gone. Choosing a horrible environmental crap agenda over keeping an item that had always been a fan favorite, and not reversing that decision when you saw the backlash it received, is a sign of a once good restaurant jumping the shark fast. I had been a Taco Bell fan most of my life, but you aren't worth supporting any more. I bet your profits take a nosedive now. I just unliked your page." For items that don't sell well, I can understand being discontinued. But as far as I know, the Mexican pizza has always done well for them. Taco Bell does have a good breakfast, but it is too bad that is only available a few hours a day and isn't all day like McDonalds made theirs. |

What is their "environmental" reason?

Back when this cut was announced around a month ago, the pathetic reason for discontinuing the Mexican pizzas was the packaging that became trash wasn't environmentally friendly or degradable, and Taco Bell didn't want something like that tainting their environmental commitment anymore. It is really revolting that Taco Bell cares more about the lousy environment than their paying customers and an item that had been popular for decades. They are run by morons now.

Lousy environment? What's revolting is you and your ridiculous rant over a stupid Mexican pizza. You are mentally deranged.

Wawwie, I am dead serious about this. I put you on my ignore list, you can do the same. Your vicious attack posts are not welcome on any threads I start anymore. Especially since you are probably behind that picture the stalker creep posted on the politics thread. LEAVE ME ALONE AND BUTT OUT OF MY LIFE.

You need to knock it off with these personal insults. Leave catsrule alone once and for all. This trolling act is getting tired. Don't reply to any of his posts if you don't have anything nice to say. Use the ignore option if you need to. Enjoy the rest of the week off.

I have to agree with you about the Mexican pizza. I never thought Taco Bell would actually get rid of it. It's been my favorite menu item since I was a child. I realize it's a completely unhealthy place to eat, but I enjoyed it every once in a while. I'll probably avoid it unless they bring it back to the menu someday.

I also don't buy the reason they gave regarding the environment. They could just as easily redesign the packaging to make it more environmentally friendly, if that really were the reason.

I don’t eat out very much but miss these products Trader Joe’s stopped carrying: their pomegranate Greek Yogurt, a frozen cod fillet stuffed with crabmeat, their low fat Provolone cheese.
From a long time ago I missed Diet Apple Slice Soda being discontinued; Diet Apple Sparkling Ice is very similar. |

Exactly. I don't care for the Mexican pizza, but that sounds like a lame excuse to get rid of a popular menu item.

There’s also an Aldi that is right next to my mom's work as a matter of fact.

Yes, they’re a little quirky with the bring your own bags and the quarter schtick for a shopping cart. But very minor when you consider how much $$$ you save. Totally love Aldi! Even cheaper than Walmart. |
