Why FOX cancelled this show I'll never understand - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Napoleon Dynamite was a good movie but WHY FOX cancelled the cartoon series of Napoleon Dynamite is a mystery. It was funny fresh and cool like the movie itself. The only reason I think FOX cancelled it was due to low promotion and had the series of Napoleon Dynamite continued to survive FOX could've given it another season. I think FOX has a strange curse with some animated series and when they decide one season is enough they cancel it for no reason. Napoleon Dynamite is just one victim of this curse

I remember that it didn’t get good reviews and its scheduling kept getting shuffled around. I also think it was too big of a gap between the movie and series (2004, 2012). Perhaps things would have been different if it came out when the film was big.

From what I remember, the show aired opposite the Golden Globes, the Oscars &, I think, the Super Bowl. Also from what I remember, Fox had aired 2 new episodes of Napoleon Dynamite opposite one of those events.
