Default Organizing your own birthday dinner????

I thought someone else did all of that and then they call and do the inviting. My brother decided to organize his own birthday dinner and then started inviting people to come at the last minute. I decided to go because I don't feel like hearing my mother's mouth. But is this not the stupidest **** you ever heard of?

Not really. If someone wants to use their birthday to treat loved ones or friends I don’t think it’s wacky.

But inviting people at the last minute is definitely poor planning, and could be filed under dumb.

Just wanted to say I noticed something strange and screen-grabbed it.

On the main forum it looks as though nobody replied and I clicked to read it and saw that OH Nuts! posted.

That happened to me too, with the same poster. It looked like there were no new replies in a One Day At A Time thread, but when I went in there I saw a new OH Nuts! post.

Well that’s an entirely different story. If he’s well-liked, and his finances are poor, this could be OK. If I invited others to MY party, though, I’d TREAT.

But if you don’t really want to go, plead finances or a conflicting commitment you can’t get out of- and send a nice Happy Birthday note.

I am a guy and have always invited others to my own birthday dinners. Like, I didn't even know having someone else do it was even a "thing".
