Kim Fields comments on this Instagram photo of the Season 1 cast Christmas party. "Those stairs and skates don't go well together". I guess Kim was happy that she lost the skates in Season 2 and didn't climb stairs as much after the set change.

Skates and stairs don't mix! And yet, the only time we saw Tootie fall was "The Girls' School", and she was just skating through the common room!

That photo is one of my favourite season 1 family cast, and i sometimes use it as my 'background desktop' lol!

It is such a truly happy photo, with all the cast gathered together, everybody smiling, several holding presents.

And the fact that the party was held on set is something that seems pretty unique. Like, they didn't go to the Denny's across the street. They held it there, right on the Eastland dorm set.

I'm not at all surprised you use it as your desktop wallpaper, Valentina. It's a pretty cool moment in history. A moment Charlotte Rae would speak of, fondly, almost four decades later, when talking about Adele Ringwald's banana cream pies at that Christmas party. 12/20/1979... Almost 41 years ago.

Really? I never knew that CHARLOTTE spoke about it? (mind you, i haven't watched all her interviews).
To me, the pilotand season 1are the REAL start of FOL (basically the roots as you already pointed out)

Kim also fallen on the couch in "Rough Housing". Somehow the editors missed that.
