It's 4:35 am and I am wide awake. In fact, I never went to sleep. I haven't been sleeping in weeks, maybe months. I don't know why as I used to be able to sleep but now I can't. I'm up all night, every night. Maybe with all I've been through I can't get my mind to relax? I don't know but what I do know is that I used to sleep pretty well and now I can't sleep at all.
I do sleep on a couch. The reason for that is I was sleeping in my mother's room. It has the tv in that room so I'd spend most of the time in her room laying on the bed watching tv. The problem was that I was going stir crazy being in that room, so I decided to sleep on the couch and stream tv off of my laptop. |

I have trouble with falling asleep myself, but it doesn’t happen to me that often.

I work the night shift and often have trouble falling asleep when I get off work. It helps not to drink coffee or cola several hours before I need to fall asleep. But sometimes that doesn't work out and I end up having that cup of coffee.
You could try an over the counter sleep-aid if you get desperate. |

My Therapist actually gave me a pill to take to sleep. I just have to go to the Pharmacy and pick them up. Hopefully, this helps. I don't think I've slept in two nights. I don't even remember falling asleep.

I've never had insomnia but my sleep issues all changed for me after menopause. I get the feeling people around here are considerably younger than me.
I sleep a good 8+ hrs nightly and I do take several supplements that really do it for me. I'll be happy to post what I take if anyone wants to know. Let me know. I take no hard drugs for sleep. Good sleep is necessary for healing, growth hormone which depletes as we age and I love my dreams...a whole new world when I sleep. |
