Default Where I've been

Hello, this is Mets82 and I wanted to give you an update to what's been happening with me since I haven't posted, except for maybe 1 or 2 posts in the Politics Section, in a while.

Let me start from the beginning. My mother passed away from Uterine Cancer, Blood Clots and Kidney Failure on December 17, 2017. I was helping take care of her before she went into the hospital and to rehab and back to the hospital and back to rehab and back to the hospital. I was unemployed taking care of her. When she passed away, her pension went away. That pension would pay the mortgage on the house every month. So, I was left alone with no job and couldn't afford the mortgage on the house. Fast forward to late in the year in 2018, I have a small part time job but not enough to pay the mortgage. I come back from therapy about 2 years ago this week and there's a Summons on my front door window. I was so scared as I was being sued and had no where to go, because remember, I couldn't pay the mortgage. So anyway, this leads into 2019 and the reason why I've hardly posted. I was trying to find a place to live plus the fact that I was going to be homeless, it wasn't the time to be visiting SitcomsOnline. I was constantly worried and looking for a place to live. I was so scared and worried that I was going to be homeless that maybe I just didn't want to go on SitcomsOnline because of it. So, me going to be homeless was going on for most of 2019 and I thought of having a roommate to help the cost. I've never felt so scared at the prospect of being homeless. I figured I'd have a roommate and a new place to live if I had to vacate the house. Well, that fell through. So, now we are in 2020 and I found a company that would help me with my mortgage payments. I finally had some money saved up, then Covid happens. I still had money saved up. The company that was going to help me deadline expired so I had to find another company which I did and is helping me. So, right now, I have spent most of the money that I saved up and gave it to the company, or Law Group, that's helping try to stay in the house. Plus, I had the stimulus package money and money I got back from my income tax. So, as of now, that's where I stand. I'm still in my house trying to stay in my house and I still have my job.

Plus, the reason why I haven't been on SitcomsOnline is also there are a lot of game features on the site.(A-Z games seem to be the most). That really doesn't interest me. But I have been reading the Politics Section of the site as well as other posts. So, I'm going to post more frequently now as it seems like the house situation, which I still worry about sometimes, is somewhat behind me. I used to spend days, weeks looking for a place to live and trying not be homeless. I don't do that anymore. I mean I'm not out of the woods yet but I think I'm in a better situation than I was a year ago.

Hi Mets!

You were missed, and I'm so, sooo sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and your stability. A huge portion of the country is going through a lot of similar things, right now, so you are not alone. I lost my full-time job in February, right around the time that Covid became a major problem here, and have struggled to find more stable, permanent work since then.

I'm glad you are in a better situation; let's hope things continue looking up for you.

Thanks Bonnie and Retro!!!

It's been hard to the point where I didn't have a funeral or mass or wake for my mother because we couldn't afford it. She was cremated and had use money from her own account to do it.

But we’re so glad you’re in a better position now and that you’re back to posting on here! You’ve been missed!

My gosh. You have just been through the wringer. I'm so sorry for all the stress this has caused you. I hope that, even though you couldn't have a funeral for your mom, that you've taken some personal time to mourn her loss. Even a small dinner get-together, a gathering in a park, a scattering of ashes, or a candlelight vigil could help bring closure, if any of those things are appealing to you.

You are not alone, and you are among many people who care about you. We're very glad to know you can return here and that you are in a better financial situation.

Thank you Rawr and Retro. I think about my mother everyday. I've tried to mourn her but it's hard because no sooner did she pass away, I had to worry about if I was going to be homeless or not. Plus, it happened near the holidays which is bad.

Like I said, as far as mourning her, it's been hard to do. I know I didn't mourn her properly like I should've but I couldn't because I had other things to worry about.

Thank You MA. Paying bills are tough because I really don't have the money to pay the bills. But I am getting help from my work as far as helping one time to pay the bills.

It's so sad to lose a loved one plus dealing with the other stresses in your life. Hope everything works out for you.

I've been trying but it's hard. Not having a lot of money, working, thinking about my mother, it's a lot. There are days where I miss her so much. It's like I'm lost without her. I mean I still do everyday things, eat, shower, etc. but it's just not the same.
