I remember The Hollywood Palace! The show premiered in 1964 as a replacement for a failed variety show starring Jerry Lewis and ran for six years on Saturday nights, except for one season on Monday before the late news. Each week, a guest host presided over the various acts. Bing Crosby was a frequent host.

Hard to believe Jerry Lewis couldn’t lead a successful variety show.
