Default For those of you who have the season 8 DVD I would like to know is this a bad edit by

antenna tv

I was watching ratings game and when tootie and natalie was talking to bob the weatherman, they asked him...........Why would we want your autograph?

He responded with "I am bob from channel 51" and I never see what tootie and natalie responded with

The scene just cuts to jo sitting on the steps. So just want to know what tootie and natalie said to BOB when he told them he was the weatherman

'Rating Games' is actually the worst episode from season 8 (i hated the way they made BLAIR look like the bad guy, and that she was stuck with the weather guy: such a weirdo!!!!), but from what i remember, i reckon TOOTIE and NATALIE just walked away from him....

It’s not a bad episode.

After the weatherman introduces himself, Natoots doesn’t recognize him so he shows them his thumbs up/thumbs down poses for good and bad weather. They just look at him like he’s nuts and then he invites them to his place to look at satellite photos; then they say “oh no” and walk away. Then they stand off to the side complaining about how such a hot guy can be a dork.

Speaking of cut scenes on the DVDs, I noticed a weird edit in “Me and Eleanor”. Natalie is telling Tootie about why she woke up in a bad mood. I remember a line about finding a dead fly on the windowsill, but the dvd cuts her off, almost mid sentence.

Any other weird cuts from the DVDs that y’all have found? Specifically past Seasons 1-3?

That line isn't from Me and Eleanor. It's from The Last Drive In. Natalie is down in the dumps because they're closing the drive in. She says that line to Jo. It's still intact on the DVD release.

I just watched this scene on my DVD and here's the full scene:

Bob: "Bob Dillingham, Channel 51, Barton College Television Station."

Cut to Natalie and Tootie

Bob: "I do the weather... here you'll recognize this." (He puts two thumbs up)

Tootie: "You do toothpaste commercials too?"

Bob: "No, that's my trademark. If the weather's gonna be good, I give it the thumbs up. Bad, thumbs down."

Natalie: "Great trademark."

Bob: "Say girls, would you like to come back to my place and see my satellite photos?"

Tootie: "Oh uh uh."

Tootie and Natalie walk away.

Tootie: "Tell me how someone that fine, could be such a jerk?"

Natalie: "Tootie, sometimes looks can be deceiving."

Two guys wearing propeller caps walk in.

Natalie: "And other times they're not."

Cut to Jo on the stairs.

It was a bad edit by Antenna TV. There were a lot of good jokes and conversation there. Shame on them! Maybe they cut it out because the come back to my place to see my satellite photos line was a sexual innuendo or something? I have no idea.

Oh! Right! But Natalie is giving a similar speech in “Me and Eleanor” (Jane Pauley wasn’t on the Today Show...) and she does get cut off mid-sentence.

I can spot an edit from a mile away and knew something was odd because it cut away in the middle of their conversation

That's not a DVD edit though. That's the original broadcast version. When watching that scene, Natalie gets cut off with the word "and". Tootie then responds, "and now?" I think whoever edited the episode before airing wanted the viewers to interrupt that Tootie was cutting her off. Natalie was rambling nonsense in that scene to justify why she suddenly no longer hates Tootie's play.

Oh, thanks! It’s such an awkward cut it’s hard to tell.
