I wonder if maybe part of the reason the show got canceled was because perhaps Paramount was tired of the fighting with Reed and Schwartz. Also, maybe they got a feeling Reed would be fired and just didn't want him off the show as I have read that Reed would have been killed off.

Of course not and why would you think such a thing?

Plus if you have any knowledge of the show it was canceled due to low ratings!

Even some of the cast have said that the show was not a ratings monster or considered cool when it was on originally. I just watched the last episode and think it's too bad that the character that get's the last line of dialogue is Oliver. Ugh.

Interesting interview. Of course there would be (if there could be, on Youtube) a Reed version of how that all transpired.

To me the worst line in that episode was the Carol line where she said it's too bad your dad has to miss your graduation since he's out of town. Better would have been, your father will be back tomorrow--he wouldn't miss your graduation for the world.

Well it may have not been in the list of most watched shows but obviously it had enough viewers to keep it running 5 years.

I think Schwartz's type of show had become tired. Did he have a successful one after that?
