Were actors fired from LHOP?

Sorry, my memory seems to say Jason Bateman was fired from Little House on the Prairie for his pranks even I have had searched internet to correct my memory information and came up with zilch information about it.

My memory says the final years of Little House on the Prairie was taken over by new generation of actors when the old actors declined to continue to play their characters to leave for other roles.

Please correct my misinformation. Thanks.

I think it was a reboot so they were bringing in new characters

I don't believe the main cast was ever fired. Karen G wanted to move on, Melissa A had already moved on, and the Greenbush twins had barely been able to say their lines. The decision was made to move away from the Ingalls family entirely, so Laura, Almanzo, and their new home became the focus of the show.
