Default What's the first website you remember visiting?

I first used the internet in 1995 when I was in college. I would go to the computer labs to use it. The first website I can remember visiting is "CHiPs" Online. I was and still am a huge fan of the CHiPs TV series. Their site is still amazingly online after 25 years. It was launched on May 11, 1995. It was the inspiration for my own sites.

My house got the internet around 1997. I think my first sites were Nickelodeon and WWF. I do remember that Chris Farley was the 1st celebrity death that I found out about online.

Very cool to see the site that inspired this site.

My family watched CHIPS during the era it was on, although I'm much too young to remember most episodes.

I first got online in November 1997, and I suspect the first website I visited was the Nitro 9 Doctor Who website, which has been online since 1993.

I first used the Internet sometime in the 2000's, but I forget the very first website that I ever went on though.

My first computer was an Apple computer, then it was a Dell Windows XP PC followed by Windows 7 which was HP that had an Acer monitor, and now it’s a Lenovo Windows 10 laptop.

Sometime in the early 90s when I bought my own PC (first computer was a Texas Instrument TI-99/4A that my parents bought in the 80s), my first online experience was going on various AOL chatrooms.

Can't remember the first actual non-AOL related website I went on. I know the very first thing I ever downloaded was Aliens TC (total conversion mod for the original Doom), what would take less than a min now to download, back then I left my computer on over night to download it.

I did create my own website back in the mid-90s. Part of it was dedicated to the adult comic book series Omaha The Cat Dancer, I emailed the creator of the comic Reed Waller for permission, and he was impressed someone had taken the time to scan all of the covers.

The other I did was for Peter Jackson's puppet-movie Meet The Feebles, the most memorable thing from that was getting an email from an Italian puppet troupe thanking me for making them aware of the movie.

The first thing I remember being on was Craigslist ( sneaking on the internet at work) before that I only used the computer in my office for work related stuff!

Well... I know I spent a lot of time at MJIFC (Michael Jackson Internet Fan Club) back in the late '90s.
They had such a great chatroom!

Thumbs up Great question

It was in 1995. I went to the America's Most Wanted site. My husband and I watched the show every Saturday night.
