I can't believe it! I didn't know that Tina Yothers was born in 1973! She was only 9 when the show started and 12 in 1985?? I thought she was 15 in 1985! She looks older don't you think? How old was her character Jennifer was supposed to be?

Well, I always thought that she looked her age- not younger or older. Yep, that sounds about right- I too was born in 73' and turned 12 that year. What a marvelous year that was: the year Back to the Future was first released!

Oops...I almost failed to mention that her character as Jennifer was supposed to be about the same age as Tina herself in real life.

Although Tina Yothers was born in '73 (moi aussi), Jennifer Keaton was a year younger. I know this because I distinctly remember the episode where Jen turned 13 and I was 14 at the time.
Even more bizarre for me is that I was 12 when Back to the Future came out; Michael J. Fox was 24. It's been 17 years since and I'm now older than MJF was then.

Tina Yothers was born on May 5, 1973 in Whittier, CA. Michael J Fox was born on June 9, 1961. Which means that in 1982 Michael was 21 years old and his character Alex was only 17.
