Default Binge-watching; start from the beginning, or ....

I have a lot more time on my hands then I have had in the past and I'd like to rewatch old sitcoms that I've enjoyed over the years.

I'm going to record them from cable and of course I can only tape the ones that are playing, of course.

Should I wait until the show starts from the pilot or should I dive right in and just be happy with what they show?

Thanks.

Perhaps I will preface this by saying I am thinking about:

Mike & Molly
Everyone Loves Raymond
New Adventures of Old Christine
Newsradio
Frasier
Dear John

Thanks all!

I would definitely start Frasier from the beginning. It is also available on Peacock.

I always resolve to binge watch but end up petering out. But I am glad I have at least 5 entire series I could do it with though (Little House On The Prairie, WINGS, Sex And The City, Sopranos-off the top of my head)

From the beginning. Even if it’s a series I basically have memorized I’d go in order from the beginning.

I’d never binge watch though. Just one episode a day.

I'd rather watch the peak seasons first, or whenever they really started to click, or I might lose interest before I get to the good stuff. Although opinions always differ about which are the best seasons.

I see Me-TV is gonna show Gilligan's Island again and I think it's a mistake to start with the b&w episodes. New to the show viewers, or even fans, may lose interest or the ratings might be lower because those are the weaker episodes. I started watching Seinfeld when it first came on, thought it mediocre and unoriginal (and it was), and didn't watch again until I caught a very funny third season episode and soon became a big fan.

Binging from the beginning is always your best option, especially if the show has a storyline that requires you to watch in order
