I also have vague memories of it, but all of these episodes I caught must have been during nights it didn't air against Fantasy Island. There's no way my mom would have missed "De plane! De plane!"

Back then, they never broadcasted comedies in the 10 PM time slot. It was always hour long shows like dramas, detective/cop shows.

In August 1979, FOL debuted in the 8 PM Friday time slot, against Fantasy Island on ABC and The Incredible Hulk on CBS. Fantasy Island didn't move to the 10 PM Saturday time slot until October. This has been well established in every TV reference work.
