In the episode Why Jackie Became a Trucker, I hate how they treated that poor dog. Darlene later becomes a vegetarian because she hates to see animals murdered for food and yet here she treats a dog like it's a freak of nature. It's a dog! She was a hypocrite. Nobody wanted that poor dog and he seemed so sweet.
In an episode before that she called her uncle Little Ed a thing. He was a baby, not a "thing". Darlene could be such a vile person sometimes. I liked her in the first two seasons, she became so unlikable after that. 😒

I think her major malfunction was that she was clearly a boy stuck in a girl's body. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
