Default Couson Geri's Facts of Life reviews

Has anyone ever read Cousin Geri's Facts of Life reviews?

No, it's not the real Cousin Geri. The author's real name is Vikki. Her reviews are not as good as crf1970s reviews, but no one can top him. But they are along the same line. A review with comedy.

That was a remarkable review, and i can see why 80s compares it a bit to the ones cfr1970 usually delivers: the similarity is amazing!!!! (are you sure it's not you, cfr1970????)

Vikki's reviews are awesome. I agree they are as good and funny and as thorough as CFR's.

A few years back, I requested Vikki review a Season 1 episode, "Running", which she did! It made my day, just reading it.

Vikki is very busy, now, in law school, apparently.

I just read the review and loved it. She has the same type of humor I used in my reviews and even made notice of Natalie and how she tried not to laugh during her scenes. (I knew I wasn't the only one who saw it!)

She accuses Mindy Cohn of chewing gum to stifle the laughs though. That's an interesting observation that i have to look for next time I watch the earlier episodes because I never noticed that before.

I do have to say writing those reviews are a LOT of work and it began to exhaust me after a while and also started taking up too much of my time. So I respect others who take the time to write up reviews like that. It's fun to do, but takes up so much time. This girl is really good at her reviews and I bookmarked the site to read more later on.

Thanks valentina!

I'm bouncing around on other boards here and watching other shows and movies these days. I know you like horror films too and I finished up all the Freddy films and just started the Final Destinations last week and then I post over on the Movie board.

I'm taking a break from FOL. After going through the whole series, I want to catch up on other shows.

There are definitely early episodes where Mindy is chewing gum.

Let me tell you: we soooo appreciated your time. The reviews were enjoyable to read, but I'm glad you're not exhausting yourself anymore. It's easy to pop off a reply to someone; far more difficult to carefully watch an episode and then write up your thoughts about it... especially while jazzing it up with a little humor.

Haha! No problem, Valentina! Glad you enjoyed!

(I can't believe it's been over five years since Vikki posted that review...)

It's right here on Sitcoms Online. At the top of this page you see the blue links, and the last one says "Chit Chat Board" and on the next page, you choose the "Movies" board. Here's the link that will take you directly there and you'll see my "Final Destination" and "Nightmare on Elm St." threads.

I completely missed your reply yesterday when I replied to valentina! Sorry Retro!

I'll have to look close next time to see it. Funny I noticed her braces and not her chewing gum.

Thanks! I has a lot of fun doing them, especially for the later episodes that I never saw before because they were new...and it helped that the show was getting a little more bizarre as the series limped towards it's end which gave lots of ammunition to make fun.

But it started taking longer and longer to do them that the fun was starting to drain out of it, so when I finally got around to season 2 episodes which I already saw I was like "Thank God!", I can stop!

Now when I read other people's reviews I know how much work is put into them and appreciate them more.
