Default Why are Funko Pop Figures and plushes so popular?

I have been noticing that Funko Pop figures and plushes are becoming popular and I haven't figured it out? Because I have seen Funko plushes and Funko Pop figures based on everything from celebrities dead and alive to cartoons such as Rick And Morty to TV shows such as Stranger Things and even sitcoms such as Cheers have Funko Pop figures too. Is this becoming the new collecting fad or is it made for the teenage crowd and replacing Beanie Babies? I collect the Funko plushes and have most of the Rick And Morty Funko plushes and I think they are cute. Another thing I found shocking is that they have turned the factory of Funko figures into a big attraction like an amusement park and so it tells me that these Funko figures and plushes will continue to be a collecting fad

Hi, Bestie! Are Funko dolls bobble heads? They look like they are. I think the Rick and morty ones are pretty cool

I collect many Funko figures, mostly from cartoons that I like....

It's Generation Y's/America's answer to The Hummel figurines...my grandma collected Hummels, and yes...her parents came from Germany!

I collect them, definitely like the variety, almost a figure for everything. Mainly collect the ones from horror films, but other genre/movies I like as well.

These are some of the ones I have, but there's more spread through out the house.

I just bought the Duran Duran set and they have a Police set too which I'll get. I bought my dad a Black Panther one for Christmas. I know some that collect everyone but I'm just interested in the rock line and maybe a few other sections (like apparently there is supposed to be a Goldbergs set too).

I really want the Dale Cooper Funko Pop. That's the only one I'm interested in.
