Default ODAAT reunion this Thursday 7/30 on Stars in the House

This Thursday (7/30/20) at 8:00pm Eastern/5:00pm Pacific the cast of producers of the original One Day at a Time are going to appear in a fun interactive LIVE online talk show Stars in the House to benefit The Actors Fund.
Valerie Bertinelli, Mackenzie Phillips, Michael Lembeck, Glenn Scarpelli, and producers Norman Lear (who turns 98 today) and Patricia Fass Palmer will be answering questions from hosts Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley. They may have time to respond to fan questions and comments submitted on the Stars in the House YouTube and Facebook pages during the show. From what I've seen, I don't think there's a way of pre-submitting questions until the day of the show and I think they mostly respond to the YouTube page during the show if they have time. The show is free to watch, but there is a chance to donate to The Actors Fund and some of the donations are read by the guests on the show.

I've got this on right now. Mackenzie Phillips asked Patricia what the name of the show was for the original pilot and Patricia said "Hello, Ann." She was wrong. The name of the show for the original pilot was "Three For The Road." Mackenzie said that it's on YouTube, but it's not anymore.

Valerie was talking about an episode involving teenage drinking. I don't remember seeing that one. What was the name of that episode?

The original pilot was called "Hello, Ann" in a newspaper article I found from 4/21/75, 2 weeks after it was taped as "Three To Get Ready".

The teenage drinking episode Valerie was talking about was the 13th aired episode of the first season called "Father David" aired 3/16/76.

Thanks for the info. Believe it or not, right before I made that post I had it in my head as "Three To Get Ready" but when I typed it I absentmindedly turned it into "Three For The Road." The latter was a short-lived series that Leif Garrett starred in back in the 70s.

He was on there for the final 40 minutes of it. He contributed quite a bit to it.

Except it wasn’t as Valerie remembered. No teen died. The only consequences of teen drinking at the end was that David finally caught them and threw them out of the apartment and Barbara went off to puke in the bathroom.

Maybe she combined that ep with Nick’s death later in the series.

What? That is strange !! Or she was confused with " Barbara's friend" ? The two parter where the girl tried to kill herself with pills? But she recovered, she didn't die !!

That’s another possibility for the confusion. I picked Nick because it involved a death by drunk driving.

40 years later an actor is never going to remember like fans do who watch the series over and over and over......
