I bow down to Robi Reed and Mara Brock Akil for giving me a chance because I had no agent, no credits... I had just a few commercials.
I sent a black-and-white headshot to Akil and it landed on her desk the week before she was casting Toni's sister. I remember I went in and I auditioned twice and, to this day, I do not know how I booked that show.
